OTAMAN Gen4 V1 body armor is a body armor system with an extended protection area covering the body. The body armor is lightweight, weighing only 3.2 kg. Its low weight is achieved thanks to UHMWPE (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene), which forms the basis of the body armor’s ballistic panels.

The protection level of the body armor in the basic V1 configuration is Class 1 according to DSTU. This protection class provides protection against fragments, ricochets, and handgun rounds.

The basic configuration includes an extended plate carrier, protection for the abdomen and chest, back and sides, as well as 4 rigid magazine pouches.

The body armor can also be equipped with Class 6 armor plates in either 25 × 30 cm or 27 × 35 cm sizes.

Size S/M — suitable for people up to 175 cm tall, with a chest circumference from 50 to 170 cm.
Size L/XL — suitable for people 175 cm tall and above, with a chest circumference from 60 to 180 cm.

1. Weight:

You may be skeptical about the fact that this body armor comes in the V1 configuration without hard armor plates, but don’t rush to conclusions. In other words, this body armor was developed for military personnel who primarily require protection against fragmentation threats rather than ballistic protection against rifle rounds.
