OTAMAN Gen4 V5+ body armor is a body armor system with an extended protection area covering the entire body. The body armor weighs 10 kg. The relatively high weight is due to the extended coverage provided by Class 2 ballistic protection according to DSTU.

The protection level of the body armor in the basic V5+ configuration is Class 6 according to DSTU. This protection class provides protection against fragments, ricochets, and automatic rifle fire.

The configuration includes an extended plate carrier, protection for the abdomen and chest, back, sides, neck, shoulders, lower back, 4 rigid magazine pouches, as well as Class 6 ceramic armor plates.

The body armor can also be equipped with Class 6 armor plates measuring 27 × 35 cm (XL), while the standard configuration includes 25 × 30 cm armor plates.

This body armor is suitable for both larger and slimmer users.

However, let’s explain how to choose the right body armor size:

Size S/M — suitable for people up to 175 cm tall, with a chest circumference from 50 to 170 cm.
Size L/XL — suitable for people 175 cm tall and above, with a chest circumference from 60 to 180 cm.

Don’t worry, the body armor can be easily adjusted to fit virtually any body size.

1. Durability:

The plate carrier is made from CORDURA 1000 — a flame-resistant and extremely durable fabric with excellent abrasion resistance (over 50,000 cycles), reduced visibility through night-vision devices, and moisture resistance. The quick-release system is located on the sides and shoulders, allowing the wearer to quickly remove the body armor in an emergency and providing medical personnel with access to the torso within seconds.

2. Protection:

The extended protection area provides comprehensive coverage of the front, sides, and back of the body, offering greater coverage compared with many other body armor models.
