WROOM Soft Ballistic Plates with Class 1 ballistic packages in accordance with DSTU 8782:2018 are a versatile solution for enhancing the effectiveness of personal ballistic protection. They can be used as a standalone ballistic protection element or as an additional impact-absorbing layer and ballistic backing behind standard hard armor plates, improving both the protective performance of the system and user comfort.
When installed behind a hard armor plate, the soft ballistic package performs several important functions. It helps reduce behind-armor impact effects by distributing the residual impact energy more evenly while also creating an additional soft layer between the armor plate and the body. This solution improves wearing comfort and enhances the protective performance of the system when used together with ceramic or polyethylene armor plates.
The core of each plate is made from Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE), combining exceptional strength with relatively low weight. The ballistic component is hermetically sealed in a vacuum-sealed protective cover, protecting the material from moisture, dirt, and other environmental factors while helping preserve its ballistic performance over an extended service life.
The Class 1 ballistic package in accordance with DSTU 8782:2018 provides protection against threats covered by the requirements of this protection class. The combination of the soft ballistic package and the impact-absorbing layer makes these plates a practical solution both for standalone use and for installation behind standard hard armor plates.
