The ballistic groin protection apron is an important element of individual protection designed to cover one of the most vulnerable areas of the body. It complements a plate carrier in zones where standard protection is usually absent and increases the overall level of safety when operating in challenging conditions.

The primary function of the apron is to protect the femoral artery, damage to which poses a direct threat to life due to the risk of critical blood loss. For this reason, this piece of equipment is chosen by those who take a conscious approach to personal safety and risk minimization.

The apron provides additional coverage of the groin area, reducing the risk of injury from:

• fragments and secondary shrapnel

• ricochets

• shrapnel

• handgun ammunition

At the same time, the design does not restrict movement or interfere with active mobility, allowing comfortable operation in dynamic conditions.

Inside, a Class 1 ballistic insert made of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) is installed.

This material combines low weight with high strength and provides protection against:

• fragments and blast wave effects

• 9×18 mm (Makarov) rounds

• 9×19 mm (Luger) rounds

The outer cover of the apron is made exclusively from original Cordura® 1000D USA, a material known for its high abrasion resistance and ability to withstand intensive mechanical loads. The fabric maintains its shape, resists wear, and is designed for long-term use. The Multicam USA camouflage is fully compatible with modern gear.

The apron is attached using a Velcro panel, allowing quick and tool-free integration with:

Installation and removal take minimal time.

The protective apron is available in sizes L and XL, with size selection depending on the user’s height. We recommend size XL for users 185 cm and taller to ensure reliable coverage of the femoral artery without restricting movement during active tasks. For users below 185 cm, size L is the optimal choice.
